What the standard ticket gives you

A tablao is the easiest route if you want a booked seat on a night you choose. Tablao venues developed across Spain in the 1960s, replacing the older cafés cantantes. Flamenco is also kept alive elsewhere. UNESCO says it is passed on through families, social groups and flamenco clubs, and that Andalusia is its heartland. Clubs and festivals have their own programmes and rules for visitors, so check each directly. Special tickets on the venue's site

The venue's own site sells tickets that the standard booking does not. Children under 12 have a set children's ticket in Zones B and C, subject to availability. A child must be with an adult, a maximum of two children's tickets applies per adult ticket, and proof of age is required. Wheelchair spaces and spaces for people with reduced mobility are sold as accessible tickets. These are wider, have no steps and are close to an accessible restroom. If you need either, buy through the venue's site or contact it first.

Who this isn't for

Skip Cardamomo if you want dinner served as part of the package: the ticket here is a show and a drink, and food is a separate add-on on the venue's site. Think twice if you want a long evening in one room, because the show runs about an hour. It is also a poor fit if you need to choose your exact seat zone and want it guaranteed on this particular booking. And if you want flamenco in Andalusia's heartland rather than the capital, you will need to travel for that.
